Parent participation preschools are cooperatively owned by the parents. As such, preschool parents are expected to take either a position on the executive or serve in a non-executive position. Executive Positions:

The executive meets once a month. Some terms extend June to June, while others are January to January. Some of the positions may require the new chair person to shadow the former chair for a given time before taking over the position when the term officially begins.

  • Secretary (June to June)
  • Parent Education / Librarian Chair (June to June)
  • Equipment / Maintenance Chair (June to June)
  • Social, Trips & Events Chair (June to June)
  • Publicity / P.R. Website Chair (June to June)
  • Fundraising Chairs (Jan to Jan)
  • Treasury Chair (Jan to Jan)
  • Enrollment / Orientation Chairs (Jan to Jan)

Non-Executive Positions:

These positions may meet as committees and would meet on an as needed basis, usually around specific school events (e.g. planning for the Fall Fair Fundraiser, (which has it's own job list specifically for the fall fair and only the fall fair) This job list is your committee for the school year. These positions need to be done on a regular basis (weekly or monthly). The term for all non-executive positions is June to June.
