Deep Cove PPP is extremely fortunate to have 2 amazing teachers lead our preschool. Teacher Chris and Teacher Sandra are both ECE certified and have extensive experience teaching within a preschool setting. Known for their ability to connect with children, they work with the children so they can develop their own sense of unique individuality within safe boundaries. They ensure that children's early educational experiences are positive through the connection of play and learning.

Chris Eldon:

Teacher Chris has been teaching preschool for twenty years, having taught at Deep Cove PPP since 1992. Teacher Chris is a dynamic teacher who participates in regular professional development (including teaching) to keep herself current with new developments in Early Childhood Education. She loves working with preschoolers because of their honesty, love of learning, and love for life. Chris' underlying belief about working with preschoolers is that through play and an emergent curriculum, children learn with excitement and depth.

Sandra Cleveland:

Teacher Sandra has been our assistant teacher since 2002. She was previously an active duty parent at our preschool for four years when her two children were young. Sandra loves the inquisitive nature preschoolers possess. She enjoys seeing them discover new things and putting into action the "feeling statements" and relationship skills they learn at preschool. Sandra believes it is imperative to treat preschool children with respect, to listen, to be patient, and to speak to children at their level. For Teacher Sandra, one of her primary teaching goals is to guide and encourage preschool children to negotiate life's challenges. She achieves this by listening to each child and continuously role modeling positive behaviours.
